Jessica Marie Alba, nicknamed "Sky Angel", was born on April 28, 1981 in Pomona, California. Jessica and her family moved to Biloxi, Mississippi when she was an infant. Then her father's work, Air Force, brought her family to Del Rio, Texas, and finally in Southern California. Raised in a nomadic military family, Jessica grew up a sports fanatic and terrorized her teachers and grandparents alike with her rebellious behavior. Alba took her first acting class when she was 12, and nine months later she was signed by an agent. Alba made her film debut in 1993 in Hollywood Pictures' comedy Camp Nowhere. She then performed in two national television commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penney.

Jessica Alba was #1 on Maxim's Hot 100 Babe List of 2001, named one of the 50 most beautiful people by People Magazine, #12 in Stuff Magazine's 102 Sexiest Women in the World, and #5 in a Hollywood.com Sexiest Female Star Poll. Jessica has a tattoo of a daisy with a ladybug on it on the back of her neck.
