Vince Van Patten : Actor and Celebrity Poker Player

Vince Van Patten was born for two things: show business and poker, with a little bit of tennis star thrown in to boot. Born to father Dick Van Patten he was raised learning to gamble, watching his father and his father's friends play poker once a week, and eventually getting to sit in with them. He was a popular child actor for years before tennis became his passion. He became a nationally ranked tennis star in the top 20 in the world, beating out every tennis heavyweight in the game, including John McEnroe, during his eight-year career. After retiring in 1986 he went back to show business and began starring in films again.

Most recently he's been appearing on the World Poker Tour as co-commentator with Mike Sexton and Shana Hiatt, but more importantly (to me, anyway), he's also the co-spokesman of Hollywood Poker with James Woods, the best online poker site around these days.
